Mine a coin from any device in 17 minutes. The pool opens at 1.5× the mining cost.

Every rule of a minepad launch, with its numbers. If something here and the app disagree, the app is wrong and we want to know.

01A launch

Each coin has a maximum supply of 21 000 000. Coins that are never mined are never created. Half, 10 500 000, is mined over 21 blocks. The other half waits for the pool. A launch takes about 17 minutes to the open.

  1. Lobby, about 5 minutes (750 slots). People buy era 1 rigs.
  2. Three eras of seven blocks. A block lasts 75 slots, about 30 seconds.
  3. Registration, about 2 minutes after block 21. Any winning share not yet counted can still be registered.
  4. Pool open at 1.5× the mining cost of era 3, then claims. Your coins unlock over 20 minutes after the open, like a mining pool payout.

The reward per block is 857 142 coins in era 1, half in era 2, a quarter in era 3. Seven blocks of each add up to 10 500 000.

The creator chooses a name, a ticker, an image, the price of an era 1 rig and a soft cap of at least 64 rigs and 1 BNB. The creator pays a fixed launch cost for the 22 random draws and the launch setup. That cost is not refunded.

02Rigs and difficulty

A rig mines the seven blocks of one era, then it burns out. You buy it in BNB during the era before: in the lobby for era 1, during era 1 for era 2, during era 2 for era 3. Sales stop at the first slot of the era.

The rig price is the difficulty. It is fixed at the start of the era before:

P2 = P1 / 2

P3 = P2 / 2 × clamp(N2 / N1, ½, 2)

N is the number of rigs of an era. Era 2 rigs cost half of era 1. Era 3 rigs cost half of era 2, times the crowd growth from era 1 to era 2, from ×½ to ×2.

Weight is linear: ten rigs weigh ten times one rig. Splitting across many wallets changes nothing.

Overclock is an option per rig. It costs 10 % of the rig price more, paid in the pad coin, and gives the rig a weight of 1.25 instead of 1. If everyone overclocks, nobody gains. The pad coin paid for overclocks is burned when the pool opens, and given back if the launch is cancelled.

03Presence

During each block, your browser searches a number (a nonce) so that the SHA‑256 of your address, the block, the block's seed and that number starts with enough zero bits. Your device, mobile or desktop, does it in a few seconds. The seed of each block is the random draw of the block before, so nobody can search in advance.

Test this device

The proof marks all your rigs of the era present for that block. A rig that is absent loses its chance for that block. The first missed block of each era is forgiven.

Proofs are sent by a small helper made in your browser. It only marks your rigs present and pays their small fees.

A rig gets at most one share per block, however fast the device. Presence stops buyers who walk away. It does not stop bots.

04Blocks and shares

At the first slot of an era, its total weight W is fixed, and so is K = min(100, W/8).

When a block closes, one public random draw R is requested. Each present rig has one share: the SHA‑256 of your address, the rig number, the block and R. The share wins if it falls under the target:

target = 2256 · K · w / (m · W)

payout = Rera · m / (1.2 · K)

The mode is chosen when you buy the rig and cannot change: SOLO (m = 1) or DEGEN (m = 8). A DEGEN rig wins eight times less often and is paid eight times more. Same expected coins, within 1 % on the smallest launches: R · w / (1.2 · W) per block.

If an era starts with less than 64 rigs of weight, every DEGEN rig of that era mines as SOLO. The app says so on each rig concerned.

All payouts of a launch together can never pass 10 500 000. If the registered winners pass it, every claim is cut by the same factor. On average about 17 % of the mined half is never created.

If a random draw arrives late, the next block starts when it arrives. A late draw never shortens a presence window.

05Pool open

The mining cost of era 3, its hashprice, is the BNB its rigs paid for each coin they were expected to mine:

hp3 = P3 · N3 / (7 · R3 / 1.2)

When registration ends, anyone can open the pool. The coin and its pool are created in the same transaction, so nobody can open a pool for the coin first. 95 % of the BNB paid for rigs goes in. At the open, the pool price is 1.5× the mining cost of era 3:

open = 1.5 · hp3

pool coins = min(reserve, pool BNB / open)

If the reserve runs short, the pool opens higher, never lower. The rest of the reserve is never created. The pool position is locked for good. Fees start at 50 % and fall to 0.25 % over about two minutes, against snipes at the open.

The pool usually holds fewer coins than the miners hold. Anyone can buy and sell in it from the launch page, at any time after the open.

06Fees

95 %

2 %

Trading fees of every locked pool (our share, after the 20 % kept by the pool venue): 50 % buy back and burn the pad coin, 30 % go to the coin’s creator, 20 % to the pad treasury. Anyone can trigger the collection.

Overclocks are 100 % burned. Buybacks go in small pieces with a price limit. No instruction lets the team take a launch’s BNB. For now, the team can still update the rules. Later, they will be frozen for good.

07When a launch is cancelled

A launch is cancelled, and every rig gets 100 % of its BNB back, in three cases:

  1. The lobby ends below the soft cap.
  2. A public draw has not arrived 5 minutes after its block closed. The draw is never asked again.
  3. Nobody opened the pool 5 minutes after registration ended.

The pad coin paid for overclocks is also given back. The creator’s launch cost is not. A refund does not depend on anyone else: each miner takes their own BNB back.

08Limits, said plainly

A whale can buy most rigs. Weight is linear. A wallet that buys 90 % of the rigs of an era receives about 90 % of its coins. Splitting wallets changes nothing, and a big wallet is not stopped.

Presence is not a bot filter. It proves that a device was there during the block. A script can do that too.

Chance decides who finds a block. The share is drawn from a public random number. It is a draw: a rig can find nothing in seven blocks.
